tom toles is a genius. the walls of my grad-school office were papered with his work. i actually let my subscription to the new republic run out when toles went to wapo and tnr stopped running his toons on the back page.
Posted by didionsmommy | August 8, 2008, 5:22 pmI LOVE Toles. Obama made this point well in an ad of his own – positive but negative -
On your other comment, I need to read Salon more…
Posted by Ames | August 8, 2008, 5:43 pmsalon is my homepage. sometimes they bug me, but for the most part, they are my go-to spot. i think their best feature is “how the world works” … it is an awesome primer on, well, everything … i can remember being miserably pregnant last summer and learning about how the sub-prime mortgage market works(ed?) from that column.
and then there’s camille paglia … if you think i’m cranky about the pumas, you should read her stuff on hillary and her supporters …
