The United States Does Not Torture

…provided that we control the definition of “torture.”  According to Andrew Sullivan of “The Atlantic,” under the Bush Administration rubric, McCain was not tortured.  Call it enhanced interrogation.  A hostile talking-to.  But it can’t have been that bad, since it wasn’t torture.
