Yes – it’s really this ridiculous.

As I’ve said before, I understand caution. Sea changes in society are scary, even if there’s no real reason for them to be. But the notion that gay marriages are somehow in a zero sum relationship with heterosexual (ahem – “opposite”) marriages is just as ridiculous as Toles makes it sound.

It’s amazing what a non-issue it is here in Massachusetts. So much of this is fear of the unknown.

In my 27 years of life, every doomsday scenario told by fearful ideological persons/groups…never caused the downfall of our society. In fact most of the nations problems like crime…either got better or plateaued in the 90′s.
Same sex marriage will be the same. It’s much ado over nothing.
