I think that would require a different bill, that isn’t just helping business ventures, but essentially building them from the ground up.

I want the government to spend the stimulus money wisely on projects that will have a long-term economic benefit. Power transmission seems to have gotten the shaft along with a lot of other sensible projects.

Let me put it this way

If I give you 2 million dollars for your 10 million dollar plan, but a year later you find out it will actually cost you 20 million.

Well…that’s not the government’s fault, they’re still trying to help your green project, but it’s up to the business to make it happen.

I don’t know what you’re arguing, do you want the government to make this their pet project and take over? Give more money?

I can agree, that would be nice.

But in the end, he’s just offering incentives for businesses. He’s not setting up the business.

I mean it would be great if the government decided to build giant wind farms for the country, but there would be conservative complaints then too.

The under-lying problem is still power transmission. Knowing about his plans you would think the fed would have allocated some funds. The largest wind farm in the world seems like a good ‘green’ iniative.
